For many people, Chanel is a part of history and the present, making it very important in the fashion industry. Chanel was started by an amazing named Coco Chanel in 1909 in a very small ground floor shop at the Balsan’s Apartments in Paris. This very small shop that was not very well known was destined to become one of the largest fashion corporations in the world. Part of the way that Chanel started was because many of the people who would stay at the Balsan’s were hunters who were very well known and would bring along their mistresses or wives who were very fashionable. These women were captivated by Coco Chanel’s clothes and decorated hats.
Coco Chanel throughout the years of the business truly ended up making the Chanel Company grow into the fashion empire that it is today. You are able to find clothing, perfume, accessories, jewelry and so much more, within the items that are being sold and produced today. Although Coco Chanel unfortunately died in Paris on January 10, 1971, her memory will live on throughout fashion history through the Chanel Empire. Chanel is considered a company that specializes in luxury goods and for many is considered haute couture fashion. The house of Chanel is privately held and continues to come out with many of the most well known lines on the fashion market of today.

Her first ever Eau de Toilette Pour Monsieur, which was an automatic hit with men everywhere in the world. One of her most well known perfumes is Chanel No. 5. Chanel No. 5 has had many famous spokesmodels such as Nicole Kidman, Audrey Tautou, and the most well known is Marilyn Monroe. The Marilyn Monroe advertisement ended up being the most famous Chanel advertisement in the history of the Chanel Empire.
The advertisement featured Marilyn Monroe dabbing herself with a bottle of Chanel No. 5, and ended up making the advertisement for which it was featured one of the most popular advertisement photographs in marketing history. Chanel always seems to be coming out with more very amazing clothing lines for each season. The Chanel line truly continues to be a competitor in the fashion world and will for years t come. With amazing taste and designs that set the stage for the rest of the fashion world Chanel and Coco Chanel have a spot in fashion history that no company or designer could take from her or the fashion empire that was her lives work and continues to live on.
