Karl Lagerfeld is a prominent fashion designer from Hamburg Germany, who was born on September 10 in 1938. Lagerfeld’s mother was strong influence on his life and would soon be a strong influence on his career as she was considered highly fashionable and adored various fragrances.
Lagerfeld became interested in fashion a very young age, and that’s a child began to sketch dresses, suits, and other women’s fashions. L., Lagerfeld for Men. From that point on Lagerfeld reputation preceded him, and in 1983 he became the chief designer for a company called a Chanel. One year into his career with Chanel, Lagerfeld began working in the fashion world. He designed his very own ready-to-wear line of clothing and called it, what else, Karl Lagerfeld.
Even with the success of his own couture line, in 1992 Lagerfeld was drawn back to Chloe, where he continued to experience numerous successes. However, Chloe struggled to stay on top and Lagerfeld once again left in 1997 to concentrate completely on his personal signature line.
Lagerfeld’s areas of expertise have continued to expand over the years. Today he’s well known not only for his fashion designs, fragrance, successes, and various other talents, he’s also known for his line of home fashions as well as costume design for many various plays and films.
Today he is just as well known for his restoration of antique architecture as he is for his many accomplishments in the world of couture fashion. Lagerfeld has gained recognition as an accomplished photographer, as is responsible for shooting all of that advertisements for both his own House of Lagerfeld as well as the Coco Chanel brand.
The talents trends and expertise to its renowned designer show no signs of slowing down. Because he dabbles in so many different areas of the fashion world its undoubted that each of us will, at some point, encounter a part of his genius.
