Does Hello Kitty bring a smile to your face? Tsai Tsung-chi of Yuanlin, Taiwan hopes so. Tsung-chi is the director of the first-ever Hello Kitty themed hospital.
Every aspect of the hospital is pink and covered with Hello Kitty. From the statue when you walk in, to the birth certificates, to the blankets and staff uniforms, everything is Hello Kitty.
Tsung-chi states that he hopes that women who are having problems during labor and sick children will see the Hello Kitty theme and smile. Hopefully the happy atmosphere will assist with a speedy recovery or at least less discomfort.
When I was a child, Hello Kitty was one of my favorites, although I was only able to find themed stationary kits. Hello Kitty has popped up all over the place, from her hometown in Japan to the United States. Hello Kitty-themed stationary, candy, bedding, clothing and now a hospital. Where will she show up next?
