Eat Your Chocolate and Stay Slim Too

It’s official: eating dark chocolate will help you lose weight. This news couldn’t come at a better time, right before the holidays when we’re all being tempted daily by holiday cookies, cakes, and of course chocolate everything.
Dark chocolate, in moderation, is the key to indulging wisely. In a recent study people who had a dark chocolate treat prior to a meal ate 15% fewer calories than those who had a milk chocolate treat, plus the dark chocolate group had less desire to eat salty, sweet, and fattening foods. And since dark chocolate is also full of healthy antioxidants and beneficial fatty acids I think this Christmas season I’ll be saying goodbye to cheesecake (my usual naughty indulgence) and hello to treats like these dark chocolate-dipped strawberries and dark chocolate bark with walnuts and dried cherries.
