Simple Fashion Staples

We’re all aware that things aren’t looking so hot in terms of our Economy, and it’s interesting to note that the looking stylish won’t be going out the door, even as budgets shrink. What will change though is how much we spend on being stylish and trendy, but we all know that it’s all about how you put your outfit together, whether you grab a vintage dress and match it with a pair of Jimmy Choos that you got for half price. Or maybe you’re more of an Aldo kind of gal.

In any case, here are the staples for ANY wardrobe that you can use as a base for creating chic outfits

Basics- Stores such as American Apparel are perfect for your basic white tees, asymmetrical dresses, pretty undergarments and hoodies.

Accessories- Forever 21 is every stylist’s secret weapon which everyone knows but not everyone fesses up to being an avid customer. With an array of pretty, inexpensive jewelry and accessories, it’s a no-brainer that this store is now a national empire with new Forever 21’s popping up everywhere. Is it the highest quality? No, but their customer base doesn’t seem to mind.

Quality Jeans- I recently found out about Naked and Famous Denim, a denim company that buys their material in Japan, then sews it in Cananda, which keeps the material raw and stuff. You may have people wanting to feel your jeans. And jeans can be dressed up with hot pair of ankle boots, or tucked into a soft pair of brown worn-in Crocs.

That One Dress- You know what dress I’m talking about? The one that makes you feel sexy no matter how you’re feeling. This is the one that you should spend some cash on because it’s an investment piece.

Bargain Fashion Websites- And… you always need to be looking for the best deals online. Here’s a post from Adventures in the Stiletto Jungle, with the Top 10 Bargain Fashion Sites. It doesn’t hurt to browse, especially if it’s only your mouse that’s doing the moving.
