Holiday Makeup – Nars 2008 Holiday Collection

I’m sure most of you know that each makeup company does a collection for each season and usually does a limited-edition holiday collection. I always look forward to what each company is going to release for their collection. You can sometimes anticipate what the companies are going to do when you watch the Spring and Fall Fashion weeks around the world. However, the designers usually do makeup that corresponds with the theme/look of their show.

One of my favorite makeup companies is NARS. Everything from their packaging, to the quality of their products, to the colors you can choose from are great. Their Holiday this year is really beautiful. The Duo eyeshadow ‘Jolie Poupee’ is a matte violet and a rich, metallic purple. The two single eyeshadows is a vibrant silver, ‘Night Life’ and a shimmering gold, ‘Silent Night’. The lipstick is a gorgeous metallic mahogany, ‘Canaille’, the gloss is a raspberry tone, ‘All Night Long’. The nail polish is named after their top selling blush ‘Orgasm’ and the blush is called ‘Super Orgasm’, of course, because it’s the same tone as the original, but with flecks of gold.

What I like about every NARS collection is the fact that they give you a choice. You can choose between getting the duo eyeshadow or one of the single eyeshadows. You can also choose between getting the lipstick or just the gloss. It’s interesting that they give you a choice between silver and gold.
