Chic Holiday Decorating, on the Cheap
Decorating for the holidays is a big part of what makes the season so enjoyable, but spending a fortune to do it is definitely not. If you want your home to look stylish this holiday season but don’t want to empty your wallet to do it, why not look around and use some of what you already have around the house? Check out these ideas, courtesy of domino:
Fill a glass bowl (or a glass vase with a wide opening) with in-the-shell mixed nuts. They look beautiful and seasonal, plus if you leave a nutcracker or two nearby they’ll serve as snacks too.
Find a holiday table centerpiece in your own backyard by clipping the branches of anything that looks pretty — pine tree boughs, magnolia, holly, anything goes — and then simply lay the branches on the table, perhaps with a few tea lights (watch that nothing catches fire).
Fill your home with the scent of orange and spice by sticking an orange full of cloves and then hanging with ribbon, or grouping together in a bowl.
