L’Oréal’s Glamorous Gift to Golden Globe Best Actress Nominees
Isn’t it ironic that celebrities (who can buy almost anything they want!) are the ones who are showered with free gifts? Gifting suites at events and award shows are like trick-or-treating on Halloween for A-listers. With the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards around the corner, things will be no different. But nine lucky actresses will walk away with something extra special, and I’m not talking about an award statue.
Think 18K gold and sparkly gems. Oh, how I love shiny things! L’Oréal Paris commissioned jeweler Carelle to create 10 compacts featuring lemon citrine and pale green quartz stones set in 18K gold with diamond details. Each of the women nominated for best actress in a drama and in a comedy will be gifted a compact to commemorate her achievement. Even if you’re not one of the deserving nominees (Angelina Jolie, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emma Thompson, etc.), you’ll have a chance to get your hands on the bejeweled compact. (If you were paying attention to the numbers, I mentioned that there were nine actresses and 10 compacts.) You can bid on the last remaining compact on eBay.com during the Golden Globes show on January 11, 2009. The proceeds will benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research.
