A Little Bling for Your Face from Rocca Skin Care

I was at an all-women event a couple of weeks ago in Los Angeles. It was for a non-profit organization and if you became a member that night, you were given their gift bag. Well, I wasn’t going to walk away without a gift bag. They had some great stuff in there from several beauty companies like eyeshadow from L’Oreal, nail polish from O.P.I., mascara from Too Faced, etc. They also had heel cushions from Foot Petals, several gift certificates, even a Vtech phone!

What stood out for me were samples from a skin care company I’ve never heard of, Rocca. You were given three things to sample from the line, face cleanser, eye cream, and a face serum. For the past couple of days I’ve been using all three and I have to say they have been quite good. I took a closer look at the information on each product and supposedly the basis of the line is 24K gold. Yup you heard right, gold!

So, last night I checked out their website. The line was created by the original Co-founder of Du Wop cosmetics, Laura DeLuisa LaRocca. In the last couple of years she stepped away from Du Wop. During that same time she also experienced total kidney failure. It was from this experience that she learned about the natural healing properties of 24K Gold. That is when she decided to create Rocca skin care with the power of gold, as well as being environmentally friendly.

Now, this line is not cheap and with everything going on in the economy, it will be interesting to see how well the line does. The 24K Gold Cleanser retails for $75, the 24K Gold Face Moisture is $125, the 24K Gold Eye Cream is $150, and the C-Gold serum is $150.
