What is Your Favorite Concealer?

Depending upon what you use as your base makeup, you probably always use concealer. Some women like to use foundation, concealer, and a dash of translucent powder. Others like to use tinted moisturizer with concealer and a bit of powder. Some, like myself, like to use only concealer and a dusting of powder to even out the skin tone. 

Recently on Bellasugar’s site, they did a poll and Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Multi-Tasking Face was the winner for 2008. It also won on Sephora’s site. Now, I have to be honest, I am not a fan of the Bare Escentuals line. I know they have decent products, but everything is in a loose powder format and it’s not great for traveling. For me, I like NARS, Laura Mercier, Stila, lines like these for their array of colors, packaging, formulations, etc.

When it comes to concealer, you can choose from a variety of textures and packaging. The most important thing for me is how it blends into the skin. There is nothing more frustrating then half way through your day all your creases are full of product and it shows, not pretty. My favorites are the following:

*Stila Perfecting Concealer

*the Balm Time Balm Concealer

*Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage

For each of these concealers, the quality of the product, the packaging, how they blend, and how long they last make them all great. The one that I am using now is Stila’s in shade d. I put it around my eye (yup, on the eye lids too for an eyeshadow base), around my nose, on my chin, and on all my blemishes, blend it in, throw on some powder and I have a flawless face.
