I like to discuss the things that are universal in life. Our commonalities. Sports. Politics. Music. Food. Oh, and beauty regimes. Whether it’s the latest product from SKII, Crème de la mer, or Peter Thomas Roth, we’re all in search for those amazing products that will minimize pores, erase blemishes and fine lines, and create that glow. You know which one I’m talking about; the one that makes heads turn when you show up, oh so fashionably late to an evening soiree.
I’ve done quite a bit of traveling in my time and have always observed how we engage in our beauty rituals from drinking the finest bottled water, eschewing caffeinated beverages (if only for a week or so), and lightly applying a fancy dew on our skin to retain moisture. And still, amidst all the fancy products and regimes, my observations have shown that the ones who have the most envied skin are either genetically gifted or follow a simple plan consisting of the following:
Proper Nutrition: Whether its yogurt, brown rice, raw vegetables, green tea, or water, the proper diet is all about balance. Too much of one thing is not good.
Some form of Movement: Nothing too crazy, but enough so that you break a sweat and have exerted enough energy to say, “Yes, I was physically active today.
Proper Rest- In this increasing global society, we work hard and play hard. But one thing is for certain, you better rest hard, or you’ll start looking it.
Cleanse and Moisturize. Self-explanatory, but so basic it’s scary. Try not to stress. Again, this is something that is quite difficult to do in our stressful 21st century lives, but if you can find a way to relax, take deep breaths for some part of your day, it will be to your benefit.
