File another one under the “ooops, she did it again!” file. Britney Spears‘ latest single is causing controversy and chaos at radio stations nationwide. Her latest song is called “If You Seek Amy”, but it apparently means a whole lot more than meets the eye. The secret meaning is apparently so obvious that changes are being made to make the song radio worthy.
So, to get the secret meaning you either say the title, “If You Seek Amy”, really slow or really fast. I tried it both ways, and couldn’t figure it out. I then asked my husband, who in true guy fashion, figured out the dirty meaning lickity split! I don’t think we can say it on this blog, but take four letters that spell a really bad word and add the word “me”. Got it?
Listen for yourself:
Angry parents are demanding that the song not be played on the radio, so as not to injure their little angel’s ears, and the Parents Television Council insists the song violates the broadcast indecency law. They do not want the song played between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
However, radio stations are continuing to play the song. Although some have taken creative steps to curb the controversy. An edited version of the song, removes the “k” from “seek” to make it “If you See Amy”. Some DJ’s have even reworked the song with their name in place of “Amy”.
Looks like all this attention is once again good for Britney, “If You Seek Amy” debuted at 92 on the Billboard Pop 100, and over 100,000 people have downloaded it online.

catchy!
That’s the thing. It’s hard to not sing it the rest of the day. She’s done in my book though.
Ha, ha, love it! Very clever!! I think she’s just tired of the bs. I wasn’t a fan before, in fact, she just worked my last nerve. I changed my mind with the new songs I’ve been hearing on the radio and with this one, she’s won me. She’s just sick of everyone’s bs.
