Hilary Duff vs Faye Dunaway – Meow

Recently it was announced that there will be a remake or rather a new adaptation of the classic Bonnie and Clyde story featuring Hilary Duff.

The indie feature will be produced by Cypress Moon Studios and will also star Kevin Zegers, most recently starred in “Fifty Dead Men Walking”, Natalie Canerday, and Rance Howard. Tonya S. Holly will direct the film from her own script rather than a remake of the 1967 classic starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty.

Well, no sooner was this announced when Faye Dunaway on January 28th in the Chicago Sun Times was quoted saying, “Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?” Naturally, Duff had a response for Ms. Dunaway. Asked by E! regarding Dunaway’s comments, Duff had this to say “I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don’t even know who she is, so you know, uh, I think it was a little unnecessary but I might be mad if I looked like that now too.” Ouch! I wonder what Dunaway might have to say to that? Check out the interview with E! here.

  1. I agree totally with Faye Dunaway. I think that Hilary is cute and all that but she needs to just stick to singing and Disney movies. I met Faye on the set of one of her films in 2002 and she is not the nicest person in the world but she is a brillant actress and I definately have respect for her in that aspect. If I were her, I would feel downright insulted by someone playing a role after me that I didn’t think had the talent to pull it off the way it should be and do it the justice it deserves! The comment she made was rather mean and she should have kept it to herself but o well!

  2. ………and oh yeah, I am only 4 years older than Hilary. So yes Hilary some of your fans will know who she is… the educated film buffs!
