Nadya Suleman, the 33 yr. old Southern California woman who gave birth to octuplets last week told Ann Curry that she had always wanted a “huge family.” She went on to describe that her lack of childhood self-identity caused her to want a large family as an adult.  Suleman, a divorced single mom, tried techniques from medication to artificial insemination to get pregnant.  She eventually tried in vitro fertilization and made headlines when it was revealed that she was also the mother of six children for a whopping total of 14 kids.

Though it’s great that she was able to deliver the children, there has been a lot of questions about how ethical it is to implant eight embryos at once.  And now that Suleman is fielding book, TV, and movie offers, one thing is for certain, the woman will need LOTS of  help taking care of the little ones.
