Is it true? Can it be?! After the roaring success of the TV show and the full-length feature film, there will be a sequel.

After six seasons of being obsessed with these four women, Sex and the City came to an end in 2004. Every week we were tuning in to find out who was having sex with who, who had the new boyfriend, who had the new fling, or who was getting broken-hearted. It was also a great examination of big-city professional women coping with life, careers, and just being a woman. Not to mention, the love affair we had with their clothes, got to love Patricia Fields!

Then we picked up from where we left off in 2004 with the full-length, feature film released nationwide in May 2008. The movie was such a success that today it was mentioned there will be a summer 2010 sequel! New Line Cinema spokeswoman Candice McDonough confirms that Sarah Jessica Parker and her three co-stars Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, and writer-director Michael Patrick King are signed for the film.

In a statement, King said “I’m very excited to work with these amazing actresses again and would love to give everyone more information about the sequel…but I’m busy with my ‘Sex’ life.” Love it!

It's over a year away, but can't wait to see it. I should watch the six seasons again since I don't remember exactly how it went.

I read a roomer that Britney Spears might be in this movie. Has anyone else read this? Is it true? I loved the first film and totally agree with the EverHype (www.everhype.com/?utm_source=bc) review that gave the movie 4 stars and called it “Great.” I’m glad that the story line has found a new medium, and I hope the franchise keeps going – I love Sex and the City!!
