Valentine’s Day Gifts, Recession Style

What are you giving your honey for Valentine’s Day? Jewelry, beauty products, flowers & chocolates, a night out on the town, maybe just yourself wrapped up in a bow
?
With the state of the economy, everyone is watching their bank account closely. With Valentine’s Day coming up I suggest getting creative and doing something that makes you both really appreciate each other. That’s what Valentine’s Day is all about anyways.
1 – Breakfast in bed
How about a little pampering at home with some good ol’ fashioned home cooking. It doesn’t cost that much and you can cuddle with your honey in bed. Add a few chocolates and a couple of roses and it will be oozing with romance.
2 – Home made card
Instead of running out to a Hallmark store near you, go to an art store, grab some paper, different fabric, look through your pictures at home and make your own card. You could do a collage of pictures with a nice romantic note. It will have much more of an impact, because it will be in your own words with your own, creative touch.
3 – Movie marathon
Whether it’s with Netflix, Blockbuster, or your Apple TV, turn your romantic day into a romantic-comedy movie marathon. I suggest “Dan in Real Life” with Steve Carell, “Lars and the Real Girl” with Ryan Gosling, and “There’s Something About Mary” with Cameron Diaz.
After all, it’s all about love…
