Mattel sponsored this year’s Barbie Fashion Show that celebrates this iconic doll’s 50th birthday, but no worries, she’s looking as good as ever.  Top designers from Diane von Furstenberg, Rachel Roy, and Marchesa are among the 50 designers making gowns for the picturesque fashion show.

The fashion show was a favorite among many critics and viewers of the show which included models that looked like real-life barbie dolls alongside real-life Ken dolls that sashayed down the runway in gorgeous dresses.

Christian Louboutin provided the fairy-tale slippers for the evening and other designers including Betsey Johnson, Nicole Miller, and Donna Karan gave their best interpretation of fashion forward dresses, fit for a doll.

A dash of fantasy. A sprinkle of girlish tendencies.  The result.  A smashing Fashion Week success.
