How do the Stars do it? Get dolled up for the big day? Well, it takes a village to make each A-List star glow for the cameras on Hollywood’s Big Day. Here are a few tips from the beauty Pros about how Tinseltown glosses and primps for the Oscars.

Natural Glow- Brett Freedman of VanityMark Cosmetics notes that the faux tan look of past years is not in this year, but instead it’s all about the healthy glow. How to get this look? Try tinted moisturizer that smooths out all the imperfection and still blends in with your natural skin tone.

Skin Primer-“It’s all about the products — it’s knowing what to use and how to use it — that’s what makes Hollywood glamour,” says legendary celebrity makeup artist Adrien Arpel. What is a primer? It’s silicone-based makeup that will make any face look glowing and fabulous, covering up fine lines, acne scars, large pores, and wrinkles.

Use a Good Concealer-  To combat dark under-eye circles from too many of those late-night parties, Arpel also suggests using a blue-based concealer that helps to make eyes look brighter.  If your under-eye circles are too dark, she suggest using a yellow-based concealer which neutralizes darkness beneath the eyes.

Use Pepto Bismol- Get that glow from a diarrhea medicine?  Yup.  Diane Irons, renowned Makeup artist says that Pepto Bismol contains salicylic acid which washes away dead skin and keeps your complexion looking glowy and refreshed.

The verdict. Yes, you need to put the time in to achieve Oscar beauty, but using everyday products can get you closer to looking fabulous.
