Oscars 2009 – Anne Hathaway’s Look

I don’t know about you, but I think Anne Hathaway is the Audrey Hepburn of our time. With her porcelain skin, big, beautiful brown eyes, and full lips, she has all the classic features.

She was absolutely glowing on the red carpet last night. Her sparkling Armani Prive dress was gorgeous. I don’t think anyone can pull off a dazzling dress like that, take note Miley Cyrus! It has to be constructed with clean, simple lines and the person wearing it has to be graceful and elegant or it becomes tacky.

Her hair was nothing less than perfect. An elegant up-do with a side-part and a wave around the right side of her face. Her jewelry was also perfect, just enough to compliment the dress.

Her makeup was of course all by Lancome, considering she is one of their spokesmodels. I will list products from the Laura Mercer collection that you can use to achieve the same look.

Eyes – Just on the eye lids, use Laura Mercier’s Matte Eye Colour in Twilight Grey ($22). Finish the rest of the lid in Morning Dew. For eye liner use Laura Mercier’s Eye Pencil in Black Extreme ($19). For Mascara, use the Thickening & Building Mascara in Black ($20).

Cheeks – Just a dusting of the Laura Mercier Cheek Colour in Rose Bloom ($22).

Lips – First apply a lip pencil in True Red ($19) both lining the lips and filling them in. Then with a lip brush use Laura Mercier’s Lip Stain in Mulberry ($20).
