Bachelor Finale: Jason Breaks Melissa’s Heart, Snags Molly’s Again

I didn’t watch this season of The Bachelor, except for a few random episodes (when nothing else was on), and of course the finale, which was “so shocking” that special arrangements had to be made to prevent serious emotional trauma.

First of all, Jason is a jerk. He put on his puppy dog eyes and played the well meaning victim who just happened to fall in love with two women. Okay, you also fell in love with Deanna Pappas (who rejected him on The Bachelorette), and you were married before. I mean, come on, how many times in a year can someone fall in love. And, if you were so torn between two women, why propose at all? If Jason was at all concerned with anyone but himself, and somewhat mature, he would have just asked Melissa to continue to date him. No need to get engaged and bring out the kid for the obligatory “happy ending”.

Now we all know that none of The Bachelor’s relationships have lasted (unless you count Byron, who’s “fiance” has been arrested for assaulting him), and I’m sure Molly will realize that in time that she is in no different position than Melissa was.  Jason obviously loves having the camera’s following him and crazy “romantic” dates planned and paid for by another. But, it’s pretty clear he’s not into the work of having an actual relationship.

I have a feeling that Jason will be a bachelor for a long time to come.  He’s a 34 year old dad, who acts like a 21 year old college boy.  Grow up Jason, and teach your son about respecting women.

  1. Any guy or girl for that matter that puts themselves through ABC’s Bachelor to find love is insane and obviously looking for more than a spouse. I think this guy’s stock will unfortunately go up with the mindless girls that end up marrying high profile criminals for the attention. Anyone that goes on these shows are simply attention whores.
