Halle Berry Launches Her New Scent

Coty first announced in February 2008 that Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry would be releasing her fragrance in 2009, and that day has come.

WWD has reported that Halle by Halle Berry, is due out in March 2009.  The scent is described is being woody and Asian-inspired.  Berry says, ” With Halle, I added olibanum, which is an African root, which brings spice to the fragrance, and sandalwood, which smooths everything out and makes it yummy. It’s very sensual, very natural, very much reflective of the outdoors.”

With her A-list status cemented with her “Leading Actress,” win for “Monster’s Ball, Berry, is one of those rare actresses that manages to mix beauty, brains, and talent, and still manages to emanate confidence and poise.  So it’s only natural that she releases a fragrance that captures her essence as an actress and woman.

Steve Mormoris, Senior VP of Global Marketing at Coty Beauty U.S. sums it up saying, “Halle is an iconic actress and symbolizes beauty to many generations. She adds another dimension to the celebrity fragrance market. Halle has always been a little more mysterious, not quite as open with her personal life as some other stars. Her fragrances will allow her to present another facet of her personality to her fans.”

Halle Berry joins other celebs who have made serious bucks in the Fragrance business including Sarah Jessica Parker, Britney Spears, and Jennifer Lopez.
