Katie Holmes Shows Us Her Wise Side
Katie Holmes first came onto the scene as sweet, smart Joey Potter in the coming-of-age teen show, “Dawson’s Creek,” but these days is known more for her marriage to movie star, Tom Cruise and being a mother to their child, Suri.
After a time of staying out of the spotlight, the actress/wife/mother is stepping out into the spotlight again after acting on Broadway in Arthur Miller’s “All My Sons,” and is about to start filming “The Extra Man,” with Kevin Kline. Oh, and don’t forget about that Miu Miu campaign that she’s just about to shoot.
In this month’s “Glamour Magazine,” Homes says she’s as busy as ever and exudes the kind of confidence and enthusiasm that seemed missing when she first married her uber-famous husband.
But it wasn’t always so joyful for Holmes as she has defended her family against speculation that her relationship with Cruise was fake and that Suri didn’t exist. Holmes states, “Some of the stuff was such absolutely horrible things to say about a child. It was so uncalled for and so disgusting. Enough is enough.”
This protective Mom and in-demand actress knows how to stay focused. She says, “Trust yourself. Work hard. Be honest with yourself. Life can be joyful.”
