Robin Williams Cancels Tour And Is Undergoing Heart Surgery
Robin Williams was in the middle of his 80-city, comedy tour “Weapons of Self-Destruction” when, he began to complain that he was experiencing some shortness of breath. Shortly after, Williams was admitted into the intensive care unit at a Florida hospital and doctor’s then advised him to cancel his upcoming four shows. This was Wed night. However, it looks like things must have gotten worse because on Thursday, his reps have now announced that the funnyman will have to undergo surgery for an aortic valve replacement and is postponing the rest of the tour.
Williams will try to finish off his tour when he recovers and he wants all his fans to know that;
“I’m so touched by everyone’s support and well wishes…this tour has been amazing fun and I can’t wait to get back out on the road after a little tune-up.”
Previously purchased tickets will be honored at the rescheduled dates, or ticket-holders can opt for refunds.
