How to Have Healthy Hair

Soft, silky, lustrous hair.  That’s what all of us gals are looking for, isn’t it?  That’s why we use all those products from gel, mousse, straighteners, relaxers, chemical perms and gloss treatments.  Well, what if I told you that you could also strengthen and fortify your strands through what you put in your mouth?  You probably knew that, but it really is true that if you feed your body/hair with the correct nutrients, you’ll start seeing healthier, shinier hair.  So, here’s how:

Water- Drink 8-10 glasses per today for extra shiny, soft hair. This is one of the simplest beauty secrets that will not only help you achieve healthier hair, but also aid in beautifying your skin.

Fatty Fish- One of the top superfoods, fatty fish such as Wild Salmon, Tuna, or Sardines are loaded with omega-3 fatty acids,  vitamin B-12 and iron.  What does this mean?  Shinier, glossier hair and gorgeous skin.

Leafy Greens- Leafy greens can do no wrong.  Loaded with nutrients from Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Calcium, and antioxidants.

Eggs- This inexpensive source of protein is also excellent for overall hair health, and its a tasty protein-packed way to start the day.

Nuts- Since hair is made mostly of protein, it makes sense that these nutrient-filled foods should be present in your diet. Also nuts such as Brazil nuts and almonds contain B vitamins which are a must for healthy hair.

Greek Yogurt- Packed with protein, yogurt also contains several B vitamins particularly, riboflavin (vitamin B2) and thiamin (vitamin B1).  Yogurt also builds stronger bones, enhances immunity, lowers blood
pressure, and may even have anticancer and weight-loss effects.

And let’s not forget that you should take care of your hair, using gentle shampoos, conditioners, and not so much chemical products.
