Are you a Lipstick or a Lip Gloss Girl?

For as long as I can remember, I have been a gloss girl. I might throw on a lip liner beforehand, but for maintaining my look throughout the day and night all I need is my gloss. Now, because I am a bit of an addict, I tend to carry around 6 lip glosses at a time. I think most ladies that wear gloss do the same.

I find that women of an older generation enjoy wearing lipstick. I believe they feel that gloss may be too ‘young’ looking and that they would look ridiculous wearing it. Also, it depends upon your look. I usually wear dark tone eye shadows, so I prefer wearing lighter lip colors. For those women, no matter the age, that prefer lighter eye makeup, usually they wear darker tones on the lips and that tends to be lipstick over gloss for a matte look. Also, that is just a rule of thumb in the cosmetic world, dark eyes, light lips, light eyes dark lips. You want to enhance one over the other not both.

My favorite all time gloss is Lancome’s Juicy Tubes Jelly. I also love Stila’s Lip Glaze. If you are going to choose wearing lipstick, some of my favorite brands of lipsticks are – Nars, Dior, and Stila. What are some of your favorites?
