Ashlee Simpson Wentz Joins the cast of “Melrose”
Just the CW has revived the former 90′s show, “Beverly Hills 90210,” so shall “Melrose,” become the new “Melrose Place,” a 90′s show that was about a group of good-looking 20-somethings who were trying to make it in Los Angeles amidst love, schemes, evil roommates, and hot hook-ups.
EW reports that Ashlee Simpson Wentz actress-singer, wife of rocker Pete Wentz, singer, and sister of Jessica Simpson will reportedly play ” small-town girl Violet, a character whose disarming naiveté masks the calculating, shrewd sex kitten within.”
Considering that Ashlee had played sweet, good-girl roles in the past on shows such as “Seventh Heaven,” this juicy role should have fans and critics buzzing on whether she can pull it off. Most recently, Simpson gave birth to her first child and is very excited to get back to work. She says, “I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of Melrose Place and I look forward to being a part of its new generation of residents.”
