Kelly Clarkson, the original American Idol, and the voice behind hits such as “Since You’ve Been Gone,” “Breakaway,” and most recently, “My Life Would Suck Without You,” is going more personal in her new upcoming album of the same name.
Beloved by her legions of fans for her girl-next-door quality, relatable size and optimistic attitude, Clarkson says that her relationships haven’t always been so great, since she became a huge star.
About her ex-boyfriend, she says, “He wanted to be famous. Oh, and he also had [another] girlfriend the entire time we were together.” Ouch.
People hate reading about the problems that celebrities experience in their lives because their lives can seem so picture-perfect from afar, but nothing is as it seems.
In the April issue of British Cosmopolitan, Clarkson dishes on the fact that she’s never been in love, and says, “I want to be so badly- I’m a hopeless romantic, but I haven’t been there yet.” Well, what is she looking for? “A great sense of humor, facial hair and “a man who already has a strong sense of what he wants out of life.”
With her powerful vocals and a hit-making songwriting team behind her, it is most certain that Clarkson will churn out dance-worthy hits about these topics. And who knows? Maybe she’ll find love.
