Style is more about your attitude and approach to your clothing, accessories and how you walk into a room, than just which brand that you choose to wear. That’s why people with the freshest style tend to be those who have a unique, individualistic sense about them.
Now that consumer habits are changing, we still can find ways to look stylish and fashionable because style is also about creating your own collage and how you put outfits together.
Here are a few tips:
Choose Wild Colors, but Be Minimal in your Approach- Yes, the 80′s are back not only with the burst of the Economic bubble, but with the influx of tight neon jeans, wild colors, and acid-wash. I don’t recommend that you walk into a room in a neon green outfit unless you really want to, but how about pairing a neon green shirt, black boyfriend blazer, and skinny gray jeans? Now, that’s a hot outfit.
Accessorize!- Do you find yourself looking through your closet looking for a cool outfit to wear for a job interview but find only a few boring blazer/pant combination? Add some bangles, a headband, or a vintage necklace. It’ll do wonders to accentuate an outfit that needs to be jazzed up.
Dress for your Own Booty- Granted, if we all had Giselle’s measurements, you could wear a plastic bag and it would look good. But for the rest of us, clothes that look best on your body shape are the ones that will also make you feel good. So, if you’re not exactly comfortable in skinny jeans, try a pair of bootcut flares or fitted jeans with a slight taper.
Don’t Underestimate the Belt- Sometimes, wearing a belt will completely save your look by making your waist appear slimmer or just giving your outfit a new dimension. Try brightly colored belts instead of the basic black.
