Top 5 Cheap Date Ideas
We’re all in a money crunch these days, spending less, staying home, watching movies, and just trying to figure out ways to stay positive in these changing times. Well, what if you’re looking to date, but don’t want to/can’t spend $100 on a romantic dinner out on the town. The truth is, it’s more about the chemistry between the two of you rather than how much money he threw down for the date.
Here are a few inexpensive date ideas:

Brunch or dinner at the Park/Beach- Nothing says intimacy like grabbing a bottle of wine, some sandwiches, fresh fruit, and maybe a dessert, and just talking at a picturesque setting like a local park or beach. It’s just you, your guy, and tons of conversation. (Guys say they hate talking, but in these settings, they’ll probably open up) Total cost= Only the cost of the food.

Movies- It’s an old standby, but it works. Where else can you be in a dark, cool place, and be snuggled up next to your man? Bring your own snacks so you don’t have to pay those outrageous prices for popcorn, soda, and candy. Oh and I’d recommend a comedy because having a shared sense of humor is a must! Total cost= Only the cost of the tickets.

Karaoke Bar- Now, I am a bit partial to these because I frequent them on a regular basis, but where else can you loosen up with a few drinks, watch people rock out to old songs, and just spend the night laughing and singing along? Total cost= Just the cost of drinks and tipping your DJ

Local Band Hangout- There are those bars/lounges that have open mikes for local acts, and usually they’re free to get in. Sometimes it’s not so good, but sometimes you’ll come across a really talented artist. Bonus: If someone really is awful, you can joke about it with your date in the future. Total cost= Cost of drinks

Comedy show- Again, an old standby, but this one always does the trick. Whether the comedians are hilarious or cringe-worthy, you can always guarantee at least one laugh. Sometimes its good to kick back and just make fun of the situation with your date by your side. Total cost= Cost of drinks and Cover charge
Yes, we’re in a recession, but love don’t cost a thing.
