The Shuffle might be the smallest and the simplest of Apple’s iPod line, but that doesn’t mean it can’t get bad ass upgrades just like its bigger relatives. The newly redesigned 3rd generation iPod Shuffle barely resembles its old self, since aside from keeping the familiar clip and brushed aluminum casing it looks, sounds, and works completely differently. You can see all kinds of photos and see Apple’s guided video tour here but the quick lists of basics are:
It’s about half the size it used to be (it’s smaller than a AA battery)

Its 4GB memory is twice as big and holds twice as much music

The control wheel is completely gone, replaced instead by a three button system on the earbud cord

It now supports multiple playlists, played in whatever order you want

It talks to you via “Voice Over” technology, telling you song names/artists/playlists

Unfortunately (for now anyway) it only comes in two colors: silver and black

The new Apple iPod Shuffle is selling for $79, and for you bargain shoppers out there for a limited time you can get the 2nd generation model for just $49. Oooh, and they both come with free laser engraving.

great product, only request: an ipod shuffle locator for when it inevitably gets lost.
simply too small for my unorganized life.
