MTV’s “The City,” has it all; hot cast, the gorgeous set of Manhattan and enough drama to keep the blogs gossiping for days. Well, you know, until the next episode. Though the show centers around the exploits of wide-eyed California girl, Whitney Port, we were recently introduced to Whitney’s new friend and shoulder to cry on, Erin Lucas who is the “downtown” representative of the show.
But one thing you might not know is that she’s actually the daughter of AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams. Once she and her Mom decided that she would be a series regular on the show, Erin decided to create a fake surname and chose Lucas.
When the LA Times asked Erin why she chose not to reveal this juicy tidbit of information, Erin replied, “I never wanted to have an interview like this.”
But life in front of the cameras can get dicey and soon, people will want to know all about your personal life, so it’s a good thing that Erin seems to be prepared. Throughout the show, Erin has been the best friend to Whitney and her problems, as well as fully display her dating life for all of the world and blogosphere to see.
Her father may be famous for his music, but Erin has become famous for 20-something “I Need to Find Myself,”-ness. She’s an entertaining addition to the show and hopefully will stay on next season.
i must admit, it’s interesting to see the hollywoodization of east coast 20-something elites. it was only a matter of time i suppose before these daddy’s girls got what they wanted
hey Nikki, yes, actually I too, like Erin, attended NYU though I’m definitely not a daddy’s little girl. Erin reminds me of a bunch of girls I went to school with who never had to work real jobs. My boyfriend gets confused as to the point of this show and usually I don’t have a response. haha. Thanks for commenting Nikki!
It seems like there’s a trend of Daddy’s girls making it big in show business. From Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie and Brooke Hogan I think we’re seeing a lot more famous kids get rich off there parents.

umm..except Erin didn’t get famous/rich off of her daddy.. she has a famous dad, but she didn’t use him to get on The City I don’t believe.
