In celebration of Barbie’s 50th Birthday, several retailers and brands have come together and created limited edition cosmetics, apparel, accessories, and commemorative dolls.
Stila has partnered with Barbie and created Barbie Loves Stila Spring Collection. There are four “Decades of Beauty” paint cans with everything you need to recreate your favorite iconic Barbie look. Choose from the 1959 Ponytail Doll and create her look with matte red lips and black, sultry eyeshadow. Or the 1971 Malibu Doll with pastel eyeshadow and light pink glossy lips. You can create the 1980 Foxy Doll look with neutral eyes and a bright, glossy lip. Finally, there’s the 2000 Jewel Doll with neutral eyeshadow and a rose color lip. I personally like the 1959 look, because I tend to wear my eyeshadow quite dark. You can purchase any one of these looks at Sephora.
The other retailers that are part of the celebration are Bloomingdales, Fred Segal, Walmart, Toy R Us, Target, Kmart, and Amazon. Also, Mattel will be creating 50th Anniversary commemorative dolls, apparel, designer dolls, celebrity dolls and more.
It’s going to be quite the yearlong, global 50th celebration.
