Top 5 Reasons to Ditch the Bad Boys
About 99% of women have most likely dated a “Bad boy.” What exactly is a bad boy? Well, he may have been the cute boy from the playground who would chase you and make you cry OR maybe he’s that brooding rocker guy that caught your eye in high school Chemistry class but he was there probably half the time. And now, he’s that guy you met at a bar that drives you crazy because of his fear of commitment.
“Bad Boys,” can be classified as a guy that may make your heart go aflutter, but you really should re-evaluate dating them. Here’s why:
He’s Hot… and that’s about it- Bad boys tend to be good-looking and easy on the eyes which unfortunately makes us gals go gaga, but if this is the only thing that they have going for them, you should seriously re-consider dating them. Looks can only go so far…you also need a guy with a brain. Seriously.
He Doesn’t Make You a Priority- Bad boys tend to be on the selfish side and put themselves, their careers, and their wants before the needs of their girlfriends. I’m not saying they’re bad people, but these characteristics do not make for a good boyfriend.
He’s Irresponsible- A colleague of mine from New York City dated a male model who was incredibly good-looking and had everything taken care of for him. Because he was booking modeling gigs constantly, he didn’t keep track of his finances and was always broke because he didn’t have a set plan on how to save/invest his money. He still books gigs, but she could no longer deal with his irresonsibility so she left him. Enough said.
He’s a Night Owl- Do you end up hearing from your guy after the clock strikes 11? Well, my dear, this is the case of the late-night booty call. With bad boys, you have to make sure that he calls you during the daylight hours or you might just be another name on a list. Check.
He doesn’t Have Any Qualities on This List- If he doesn’t have these qualities, and you find yourself wondering if he’s going to be more drama than you expected, maybe you should consider dropping him. You’re worth it!
Let’s face it, good-looking bad boys are fun to hang out with and maybe exciting too, but the drama associated with them is not worth it. Don’t believe me? Try it yourself.
