I have naturally curly hair and have been blow drying it for years. Depending upon the season and climate, I am always on a quest to find the right product to keep the frizz at bay.
I find Mousse to be the best at controlling the frizz, aiding in the blow dry, and adding a bit of volume. There are some specific mousse products for curly hair that are, ironically, the best at smoothing out the frizz, because people with curly hair become frizzy quite easily. I would recommend using Samy Curl Constructor Activating Mousse, only $5.99! Also, Catwalk’s Strong Mousse for Fine to Medium hair. They also have Extra Strong Mousse for Medium to Thick Hair.
Another trick for controlling the frizz is when blow drying the hair, NEVER dry out the water from your hair before you start blow drying. This was the best piece of advice I got from my hair dresser. When you get out of the shower, squeeze out the excess water, put in your product, start sectioning off your hair and drying it. You will be amazed at how it turns out smooth, shiny, and frizz-free. The tools you will need for a great blow dry is a professional hair dryer and an ionic brush. My favorite hair dryer and I’ve been using it for years is the Super Solano Hair Dryer. For brushes, try Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Thermal Hairbrush.
