After all the sour reviews for “Knowing”, it still was #1 at the box office this past weekend. I ventured out Friday night to see “I Love You, Man”, which I have to say was hilarious.

“Knowing” brought in a reported $24.8 million, with “I Love You, Man” in second place at $18 million, and in third place was Julia Roberts “Duplicity” with $14.4 million.
With the current state of everything, I only want to see movies that are going to make me laugh or be a murder mystery type of flick. I don’t need to see the destruction of planet earth as we know it.
I was going to take a leap of faith with “Duplicity” and check it out. I love both Julia Roberts and Clive Owens, but the story line felt like Ocean’s Fourteen (which I’m sure is in production, or at least I hope so). So, that will be a rental.

I have to say, the Paul Rudd/Seth Rogan comedy crew is just blowing up. The previews in “I Love You, Man” have two movies coming out with some of that comedy crew. One is “Year One” with everyone from Jack Black, to Michael Cera, and Paul Rudd. The other is “Funny People” with Seth Rogan and Adam Sandler. Can’t wait to see those!
