Vice President Joe Biden’s Daughter Caught With Cocaine?

Ashley Biden, the 27-year-old daughter of Vice President Joe Biden, has allegedly been snagged in a “Michael Phelps-esque” tape snorting cocaine.  The tape is being shopped around to numerous media outlets, with the seller/secret videotaper hoping to rake in $250,000.

The tape was apparently filmed this year at a party in Wilmington, Delaware.   There are people talking and loud music is playing in the background.  According to members of the media who have viewed the tape, Ashley, who is with her boyfriend, watches a man cut up five lines of cocaine and then jokes that it is not enough.  She then pulls her hair back and snorts one line of cocaine, tilts her head back and wipes her nose.  She then snorts two more lines of cocaine before the tape shuts off.

If this really is Ashley Biden caught doing drugs, it could mean professional ruin.  She is currently a social worker with the Delaware Department of Children, Youth and Families, and is also a board member of the Delaware YWCA organization.

This would not be Ashley’s first brush with drugs, or the law, she was arrested in New Orleans in 1999 for possession of marijuana.  Those charges were later dismissed.  And, in 2002, The Los Angeles Times reported that 21-year-old Ashley was arrested for obstructing a police officer outside a Chicago bar.

No word yet from the VP.  I hope these charges aren’t true.  I mean, when are people that are ,in any way, connected to a public figure going to learn that these behaviors will be exploited for a quick buck?
