Project Runway’s sixth season will soon be returning to the tube! The Weinstein Company (Project Runway’s producer) and NBCU resolved their legal skirmish that has kept the already-filmed season 6 in limbo.
It all started when The Weinstein Company moved the show from Bravo! to Lifetime. NBCU (Bravo!’s parent company) filed suit claiming “breach of contract” for not allowing them to match the offer. A tense legal battle ensued. During that time season 6 of Project Runway was filmed, a winner was picked and it has sat in a box unable to air until the television titans resolved their differences.
Finally, a settlement has been reached. In a joint statement, the networks said, “The Weinstein Company will pay NBCU for the right to move Project Runway to Lifetime. All of the parties are pleased with the outcome.”
Harvey Weinstein also said, “I want to personally congratulate Jeff Zucker and NBCU on their success in the litigation and thank Jeff for resolving this in a professional manner.”
Project Runway Season 6 will debut on Lifetime sometime this summer. For this season, the show relocated from New York to Los Angeles, but still features host Heidi Klum, mentor Tim Gunn, and judges Nina Garcia and Michael Kors.

I don't know, I thought Queer Eye for The Straight Guy was better. But then again they're not really the same type of show.
