Happy National Cleavage Day

Twirlit would like to wish all its readers a Happy National Cleavage Day! Founded by Wonderbra and Cosmopolitan Magazine, National Cleavage Day was created to “To solemnize women’s independence and power in all facets of life, from their careers to their relationships to their own destiny.”

Although National Cleavage Day hasn’t quite caught on in America, it is beginning to make some noise, thanks to Twitter. Apparently the term National Cleavage was one of the most “tweeted” about phrases this morning.

BUPA, a private health insurer in the UK liked the idea of National Cleavage Day and decided to jot some quick fun facts about boobs on there website. Here’s a couple I thought were interesting:

“Most women think that the ideal size for breasts is a C/D cup, whereas the average breast size of women is 36B”

“Most women who have breast operations go up or down two sizes.”
