Sean Avery: A Hockey Player with Style

How many Professional hockey players do you know that have interned at Vogue Magazine? Well this is the true life story of Sean Avery of the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars who has spent time on the rink and in the posh offices of Vogue magazine. I can’t even imagine that locker room conversation.

HOCKEY PLAYER: Hey man, what did you do yesterday?

SEAN AVERY: I was getting coffee for Anna Wintour at Vogue magazine. I’m an intern there.

HOCKEY PLAYER: Dude, what’s wrong with you?

Well ladies, this isn’t exactly the norm for a hockey player, but he isn’t exactly sensitive as he was suspended for making comments about his ex-girlfriends, including Elisha Cuthbert, an actress who stars in “24.”

But his interesting story and his interest in fashion has the Fashion world in a frenzy as Avery has had meetings with Steven Klein, Andre Leon Talley, and Karl Lagerfeld. Even designer Narcisco Rodriguez says, “He follows fashion. He knows who the designers are, who are the good ones he likes.”

So what is bad boy hockey player Sean Avery planning to do with his fashion knowledge? Create an athletic wear line. Avery says, ““There’s a few that do it like Y-3 and obviously Stella McCartney, but I think there’s maybe a gap in there I could get into.”

A hockey player that can roll with Lagerfeld. I like it.
