Who doesn’t love to watch Carrie Bradshaw as she ponders over her on-again/off-again lover, Mr. Big?  Or maybe laugh as Samantha conquers her latest man-toy?  Or get annoyed when Charlotte is more prissy than ever?  And sigh when Miranda ruins yet another chance with a good guy because she tends to get in the way of her own happiness.

Well “Sex and the City,” a HBO series and feature film about the lives of four New York City Women, broke all Studio expectations about female moviegoers with $55 million opening weekend box office receipts last year.  Why such a high number?  Well, it was a communal thing.  Women saw the movie with their girlfriends, mothers, sisters, aunts, and you KNOW that there were men that were dragged to that film.  Hey, they probably secretly enjoyed the flick.  Okay, maybe not.

And now, a sequel is set in stone as Variety reports that WB and New Line Cinema will be releasing the next film filled with witty banter between Carrie Bradshaw and Co. on May 28, 2010. That would be the return of the actresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis.

With talks of disputes on the set and disagreements among the actresses, women everywhere who are fans of the original series are probably ecstatic, knowing that they’ll get to see Carrie and her fabulous shoe collection one last time.  On the silver screen.

Number Two? Don't get me wrong, I thought the show was great, and the last movie was enjoyable (not going to give much more praise than that), but another one? Come on, this ain't no Scream. Or even Saw for that matter. One will do just fine.

The only good thing about SATC is Kim Cattrall. You gotta love Kim. i even have her as the voice on my GPS. i got it from a site that does real celebrity voices for GPS, I think it was called Navtones. Not sure about another film but if you love Samantha in you got to get the voice I have. She's awesome!

Hey Laura, I'd have to disagree with you. I love Sex and the City whether its on HBO or in theatres. Its like female escapism..if only I could have her shoe closet! And Paul, yeah, Kim Cattrall is hilarious. She says what she thinks and does what she wants to, when she wants to. Tons of women live through her character, I think. Thanks for commenting you guys!
