Spanx has fans in women across the world from size zero to size 22. From middle aged Office ladies to celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Gwyneth Paltrow. What is Spanx exactly? Well, they’re slimming hosiery that minimizes figure flaws and ended up completely changing the hosiery industry and making the creator of Spanx, Sara Blakely, a very wealthy woman.
Well, it seems as though Sara has more exciting products to help women look their best by introducing Haute Contour. Sara Blakely says, “Women and men would always ask me if I could create sexy shapewear and now I have Haute Contour. Each piece of this lingerie-inspired collection is shaping, sumptous, and ready to be seen in!”
Blakely is also a successful entrepreneur who was told that she was “advised to fail.” She kept trying and trying again, got the prototype for the original Spanx made, and then put her money into making the business work. Then she got that call from Oprah, that they wanted to feature her product on their show, and then her life changed forever.
She also does personal apperances and will be at New York’s Saks Fifth Avenue to launch Haute Contour on March 26, 2009. Here is more info.
