Anaheim Angels fan Brian Powers died after being punched in the face and landing head first on the cement at Buena Park in Anaheim, CA. Opening day was coming to a close and as fans headed out the stadium a fight broke out between 27 year-old Powers and another fan.
Witnesses say that a friend of the man Powers was fighting came out of nowhere and punched him in the face. Powers then fell, hitting his head hard on a concrete step. He was then rushed to the UC-Irvine Medical Center, where they pronounced him brain dead on arrival.
This is the first time I’ve ever heard of a fight at an American sports game, ending in a fatality. It’s unfortunate to know that some people go to the extreme for a sports game. Granted, sports games are often fun and exhilarating, fighting shouldn’t be apart of the equation. Hopefully this tragedy changes the climate of outrageous sports behavior and allows games to be fun again.

The funural is on april 25 at 1 pm at 4121 Artesia Ave Fullerton Ca 92833. Brians mom said to wear Angels attire.

The guys turned themselves in but there were no arrests made for god knows what reason cause' from what I understand the 2 dumb idiots admitted to fighting with Brian... accidental fall or not, the fall would have never occured if the 3rd guy didn't come and sucker punch Brian... His funeral is this Saturday at 1 in Fullerton... His mom asks that everyone wears angels attire as we all know that Brian was such an Angels fan... We miss you so much Brian... not a day goes by where i wish my phone would ring and it's you on the other end telling me about where you're going and why I ain't going too!! Lol... I'm going to miss your voice, your laugh, YOUR EYE LASHES lol.. and most importantly YOU... I'm not ready to say goodbye :( You went to soon... I love you so much... and we all miss you dearly!!

brian was my wife's cousin.as far as i know the man that jumped in was a bitch.especially because he ran away afterwards.I guess one of the 2 suspects has turned himself in but i dont know which one.If anyone knows anything please call the anaheim police department.

IN A RARE INSTANCE I GOT A CHANCE TO GET BOTH SIDES OF THE STORY! I WAS A FRIEND OF BRIANS I GREW UP IN THE SAME HOOD AND HAD MOST OF THE SAME FRIENDS. THE GUYS THAT WERE INVOLVED WITH THE INCIDENT ALSO WORK FOR MY COMPANY . NO CHARGES WERE FILED BECAUSE THE PROSECUTING SIDE HAD NO CASE.ALL THE CAMERAS SHOWED BRIAN OUT OF CONTROL DRUNK. PROBABLE JUST HAVING A GOOD TIME. THE GUYS WERE ONLY ON THERE SECOND BEER.THE 3 GUYS WALKING DOWN THE STAIRS WERE ALL RELATED. BRIAN WAS WAS WALKING UP AND KINDA CHECKED THE FIRST GUY FOR NO REASON YELLIN HIS HOOD! HIS UNCLE THE 3RD GUY BACK, WHO WAS JUST A OLDER CONSTRUCTION WORKER,(NO GANG BANGER,JUST NOT ABOUT TO LET HIS NEPHEW GET BEAT UP FOR NO REASON) PUNCHED HIM.HIS INTENTION WAS TO CHECK BRIAN TO SNAP HIM OUT OF IT .UNFORTUNATLY IT WENT TO FAR. BE REALISTIC ! THEY WERE IN CROWDED STAIRS. HE DIDNT COME OUT OF NOWHERE! THERE WAS NO HUGE BRAWL. IT HAPPENED IN A FEW SECONDS.AND WHO WOULD HAVE RAN. WERE THEY SUPPOSSED TO WAIT FOR THE COPS TO ARREST EM BOTH.THESE GUYS ARE GOOD REGULAR PEOPLE. I KNOW BRIAN AND CAN SEE HIM DOING EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID HE DID. WAS IT RIGHT . NO. SHOULD IT HAVE HAPPENED. NO. AN EXPIERIENCE LIKE THIS ONE AFFECTS BOTH FAMILYS . I SAW THE DEVISTATION ON BOTH ENDS. THAT DUDE HAS TO LIVE WITH THAT FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE AND FOR SOMEONE WHO RESPECTS THE LIFE THEY HAVE AND THE LIFE OF ANOTHERS, THAT CAN BE A HEAVY LOAD TO CARRY.RATHER THEN POINTING FINGERS AND BLAME EITHER ONE. WE ALL SHOULD TAKE IT AS A LESSON. MAYBE BRIAN WAS SENT TO MAKE A POINT FOR EVERYONE . WE ARE SENT HERE FOR ONE REASON. AND AS HIS FRIENDS IF YOU DIDNT GROW UP OR LEARN SOMETHING FROM THIS THEN HE WILL HAVE DIED IN VIEN! I WISH THE BEST FOR BOTH FAMILYS!
