Marc Jacobs, the uber-famous designer whose fashion genius has caused his lines to be among the most successful in history, as well as making himself quite a celebrity.
He attended the Parsons School of design and has won numerous awards including the Council of Fashion Designers of America Perry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent and most recently was nominated for this year’s Womenswear Designer of the Year award. He then joined Perry Ellis where he created a “grunge” collection that did not tide over so well, before moving to becoming an artistic director for Louis Vuitton.
It was recently made public that Marc Jacobs, who is openly gay, is officially engaged to Brazilian Ad Executive boyfriend, Lorenzo Martone and will be traveling to Martone’s home in Brazil. They will be in Sao Paulo to celebrate the opening of the multi-brand Marc Jacobs store.
Jacobs shot to fame with his unique designs and his Marc Jacobs collection along with the less expensive Marc by Marc Jacobs collections are beloved by women everywhere, and he is one of the most powerful designers on the Fashion scene today.
With this recent announcement of his engagement to Lorenzo Martone, it looks like his private life is pretty good, as well.
