Video Shows Marie Moore Shooting Her Son

Three Letters Found written to King

In the wake of killings by Jiverly Wong, the gunman who killed 13 people in a Binghamton Immigration center, the Associated Press reports that Marie Moore, a 44 yr. old  Central Florida woman, who killed herself after shooting Mitchell Moore, her 20 year old son, recorded messages that said that she was the anti-Christ.

In the recorded messages, Moore apologized and rambled on saying, “I’m so sorry. I had to send my son to heaven and myself to Hell.” She added that she must die to save her boyfriend, son and the world from violence, and her mother, father and brother from hell.

The security video that was recorded at the Shoot Straight range in Casselberry, Florida, shows what happened in graphic detail.  It shows Marie Moore pointing a gun at her son’s head as he took aim at a target in the shooting booth. Shortly thereafter, he falls to the ground and nearby patrons rush to take action.

Police have no motives for the reasons behind Moore’s actions, and earlier footage from the security video show that mother and son appeared to be getting along. Deputy Chief Bill McNeil of the Casselberry Police Department says, “We have no clue. I don’t even want to begin to speculate.”
