When you think of Frito-Lay advertisements, you’re probably likely to see cool teenagers eating chips or maybe a bunch of frat guys watching football with a beer in one hand and a bag of Frito-Lay chips in the other.  Well, not anymore.

Recently, Frito Lay in association with the Juniper Park, an ad firm created a campaign targeting women who have different snacking tendencies than their male counterpart.  (Shocking, right?)  Frito-Lay wants to take advantage of that market with a new approach to selling their Baked Lays, Smartfood Popcorn, and Sunchips.

This campaign entitled “A Woman’s world,” is an animated take on “Sex and the City,” as four animated women talk about food, exercising, and men.  Funny webisodes where these characters talk about the fear of bikini season are the main point of the website and is actually pretty funny.

The characters Anna, Cheryl, Maya and Nikki are quite witty and re-create conversations that many gals may have had with regards to too many calories consumed and how to fit into a pair of jeans when you’re bloated.  These characters who Frito Lay says are , “Fun, fabulous, and Fearlessly Female,” do a good job at conjuring up a laugh while making you want to grab a bag of baked chips.  Check it out and see what you think.
