Jessica Stroup plays Erin Silver on the CW’s remake of 90210, a teen drama about privilged teens that live in the one of the wealthiest area codes in Southern California. Her character, Erin Silver, is the youngest sister of David Silver and Kelly Taylor (of the former Beverly Hills 90210 series), and is a rebel of sorts who produces and stars in a youtube-type web series.
Though a rebel on the popular teen drama, Stroup is also an actress who is going green as she is partnering wtih Origins cosmetics for their, “Return to Origins Recycling Program.” This program allows for anyone to bring their empty cosmetic tubes, bottles and jars to their nearest Origins retail store or department store. Then all the packaging will be sent back to be recycled or re-used.
Stroup, an actress who has also starred in movies such as “The Hills Have Eyes 2,” tells People, “At first it’s exciting when you get them – ooh products. But then it’s like, I’m not going to use some of these. You just end up with all these containers.”
So the actresss says she will be taking her empty cosmetic jars, tubes, and bottles to Origins stores, and urges you to do the same. A novel idea from an established brand.
