Le Whif: Enjoy Chocolate and Still Lose Weight

le-whif-1

In what seems too good to be true, it may now be possible to have your chocolate and lose weight too!  A professor from Harvard recently introduced “Le Whif“.  The fancy name fits the fancy looking product – a brown and pink tube, similar to a lipstick.  It is inhalable chocolate, which is supposed to give you all the joy of chocolate with none of the calories.

Le Whif comes in four flavors: mint chocolate, raspberry chocolate, mango chocolate, and plain chocolate.  It is going to be officially introduced at a grand party in (where else?) Paris on April 29th.  Followed by 10 days at the Canne Film Festival and then later a “surprising” appearance in Chicago.

A box of Le Whif dispensers cost 40 euro, or about $53. Lead inventor, David Edwards, says: “Over the centuries we’ve been eating smaller and smaller quantities at shorter and shorter intervals.  It seemed to us that eating was tending toward breathing, so, with a mix of culinary art and aerosol science, we’ve helped move eating habits to their logical conclusion. We call it whiffing.”

Hmmm, “whiffing”, this is beginning to sound suspect, and you know what they say, “if something seems too good to be true, it usually is!”  Guess will have to wait until the grand party to see if this really is every girls dream come true or some kind of attention-seeking hoax.  Until then, I’ll stick to my dark chocolate vanilla buttercreams from See’s Candy :)
