KFC Offers Grilled Chicken

Well, you won’t have to feel so guilty anymore if you find yourself inside a KFC Restaurant as they’re introducing something brand new to their fast food restaurants; Grilled Chicken.

Yes, Colonel Sanders has gotten the message that America wants to eat healthier and to do that, you need to have options with words like “grilled” or “broiled.” KFC President Roger Eaton explained the new introduction saying,” It’s going to get people who haven’t eaten KFC for a long time to come back into our restaurants.”

This new grilled introduction comes after its competitors including McDonalds Corp and Chick-fil-A which both have similar grilled chicken options in their menus which are popular items among their customers.

Considering that Colonel Sanders’ original Fried chicken recipe has 11 herbs and spices, the new grilled chicken will also have its own secretive recipe with 6 herbs and spices instead.  Both top secret recipes are kept in an electronic safe at KFC company headquarters.

So what are the stats?  KFC says each piece of its grilled chicken has 70 to 180 calories and four to nine grams of fat. But the Original Recipe items have between 110 and 370 calories and 7 to 21 grams of fat, depending on the piece. That’s quite a difference and you can taste the new grilled chicken sandwich yourself as KFC will be offering a free piece of grilled chicken on April 27th.

  1. Really? Healthy KFC is an OxyMoron….I don’t think anything healthy can come out of Kentucky (no offensive to Kentuckyites).

  2. Troof, but i’ll prolly be checking it out. No, it’s not healthy, but it’s a better “treat” than fried chicken. For instance, I’ve found myself going to mc donalds more now that they have those grilled chicken sandwiches…..YUM

  3. I’d probably try it if I was hungry and stuck at an airport.
