British Designer Matthew Williamson will be bringing his contemporary flair, jumpers and printed dresses to fashion emporium H&M on April 23rd, 2009 and fashionistas everywhere are excited especially as we Spring forward.
First and foremost, with the current state of the Economy, we all want to spend less money and definitely do not want to drop hundreds of dollars on clothing collections. Yet, we want to look stylish, so thankfully Williamson’s collection at H&M will let us spend less dough and still get his look.
Williamson says, “I love the fact that H&M have created a new phenomenon in fashion through the pioneering concept of collaborating with high-end designers to create one-off limited edition capsule collections. I am thrilled that my creations for H&M will be accessible to and hopefully enjoyed by so many people around the world.”
Williamson’s celebrity fans include Sienna Miller, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Keira Knightley. He graduated from Central St. Martins and has worked at Monsoon and Accessorize, as well as being the Creative director of LVMH-owned design house Emilio Pucci.
Margeta van den Bosch, the creative advisor at H&M is also excited about the collaboration saying “Matthew has such a good eye and a way for working with prints that he mixes up in a new way. When he combines these things, you get a very contemporary London look.”
And I’m sure there will be lines around the stores before April 23rd.

H&M has been a long time favorite, for this precise reason. They know how to get great looks for cheap prices. Stylish Spring, here I come!
