For most Americans, Tax Day is not a fun day. Trust me, I know. Gone are my days of large tax reimbursements. Fortunately there is some relief. Eager to ease the pain of those in need, a few companies, restaurants and shops are doing their part to help out, giving out free products, great discounts or future benefits. Check out the deals below.
First up is one of my favorites, Cinnabon. They’ll be offering up free cinnamon-roll bites at all of their locations between 5 pm and 8 pm, so right after work. Then there is Chic-Filet who will match any meal you purchase today. That means, if you purchase dinner today, you can come back a week later with your April 15th receipt in hand and get the same meal again, but for free! The offer expires after 30 days though, so you’ll have to act fast.
Maggie Moo’s is also joining in the fun offering free ice cream scoops all day today as well as P.F. Changs who will be slashing 15% from all of today’s orders. Also make sure to take advantage of Walgreens 15% off deal for all online orders (coupon code is: TAXED). And finally, T.G.I. Fridays has special deals today on their tasty appetizers and drinks.
I’m not sure if the reason for today’s freebie kindness is due to it being Tax Day or the current economic pressure we’re all feeling – my guess is both – but as far as I know, this is the first Tax Day event of it’s kind. Let’s hope it turns into a Tax Day tradition. Would be nice.
